Fully committed to innovation since its very beginning, REDEX was created in 1949 as a patent based company by the innovative talented engineer Paul Defontenay.
The patent was based on the thermoplastic clamping of a gearbox system’s planetary gears, increasing dramatically the torque/volume ratio of such a key component of modern machinery.
More than sixty years later, headed by Bruno Grandjean, the founder’s grandson, REDEX commitment to innovation remains one of the most important parts of its core believes.
Structured as an European and international company (selling abroad 90% of its products to over 50 countries), REDEX manage its 3 service centers, its 7 subsidiaries, and a large network of highly skilled agents to offer its customers and partners the ultimate level of service all around the world.
REDEX Group's European orientation has been further strengthened by the integration of the BÜHLER company, the German renowned specialist for the production of high precision rolling mills.
With more than 160 years of combined expertise in its core specialties, REDEX Group carries off tens of active patents and an average of 8% of its 50 M€ yearly turnover is reinvested in innovation and R&D.
REDEX Group is training more than 20 apprentices and interns every year, and invests in thousand of training hours to develop the professional skills of its 300 employees.
